This biz. Your biz. Our biz.

The biz to be in. thisbiznow.com

Tell us what you think!

When was the last time you visited the this biz now site?

Is this site a place you visit and use with customers and prospects?

Do you think third-party endorsements lend crediblity and help you sponsor?

If you were creating a site called ThisBizNow, what would you include on it? Or, would you make it part of the Q site?

Or, would you tell prospects and new IBOs to visit Opportunity Zone for the latest scoop on the biz from the corp?

We're all ears, I mean eyes ...

well, you get the gist. We want to know what you think.

Please comment.

I use thisbiznow.com every time I present this to someone looking at Quixtar as a business opportunity along with the Quixtar site. I think it gives them a better picture of this business as a whole, adds credibility and I love the profiles of success stories.

I think as Amway Global moves to "one brand to rule them all" (forgive the loose LOR reference) we'll have to consolidate websites to create a consistent image, tone, look, feel, etc.  Not to mention the management of the sites.  I do send my prospects to the site, but I think we would be better off to have a transition to a portion of the global site (quixtar.com or Amwayglobal) that is consistent with the "Hello, my name is" campaign.  Again, we need to have one voice, as we begin reinvent the brand and be very clear, simple with our communications.  I think the use of partner store endorsements is key.  Spring board idea: In fact, I think our partnerships with brand name partner stores should be used in creative ways as we look at our web, our upcoming event marketing, tv, print, etc.  Another random, unrelated thought: As we look at the messaging for the site and other communication, should we be highlighting, more the fact that we were "green" before everyone else was and that we employee and manufacturer in the USA?  When I visited the company in July (in Ada) I was amazed and inspired by the work that is being done and the people that are employed.

I strongly encourage others to focus on the thisbiznow site.

It highlights our strong business partners true statements on our companies.  I remember..YEARS AGO..Amway Products were

"BIO-DEGRADABLE" . (Have the kids spell that one !)  I'm excited about new changes and new products coming to help all of us.  THANKS!   Curtis  Duncan      IBO-Goodland, KS

I send prospects to thisbiznow.com (among other sites) every time I show them the plan. The third-party comments certainly help for credibilty. I like Chris' idea above about incorprating the same look and message as the ad campaign. I don't think it matters if its a seperate site or apart of Amway Global. I don't send prospects/customers to the Opp. Zone. Its good for IBOs, but don't really see the value in sending a prospect. The content is forever changing, and info that really won't help with the initial research process.

I Susan,

You know, the corp want us to use "this biz now" but in Canada we were using it... it was interesting because there were 2 french canadians on the succes profile....Gervais and Arel.

But right after we have those good arguments and good raisons to use it, the french translation of the site disapear...

We dont understand...the french version was there before its not like they have to do it?

A year ago when i called the corp they told me that the french version would be review...to come...

So were waiting and waiting...so its bad to read your  comments doing the promotion to use the site ...

Please tell us if the french version will finally come...

Thanks to answer! (Please excuse my English...)

By the way , its was a perfect place to send people....not  directly  related to AMWAY so with some prospects we can do step by step introduction to the commerce...!

We also send business builder prospects to thisbiznow but direct them to the Profiles of Success so they can see why other people are attracted to the business.  Feed back we get is it validates and reinforces their reasons for looking at Quixtar/Amway Global.  My suggestion would be to make the 'why' people start a QA business an emphasized, priority area on the site.

I like it and use it every time I show the plan. Here's what I would like to see: More general business people without a vested financial interest in Amway's comments. I saw a video on youtube that was:respected people, respect AMWAY. Very credible stuff; everyone there was basically a household name and that's where the big ticket it. 1.Household name 2. 3rd party 3. Likes the company for what it is/stands for without having a large financial interest...

Susan,

This topic ties to a bigger issue I think it would be interesting to address.  There has been discussion about using the "curiosity approach" when prospecting (is it deceptive, is it appropriate...).  The thisbiznow site is a bit of a "curiosity approach".  It feels like a "two-step" before actually representing who we really are (Amway).  I said this on another blog, but I think it would be interesting to discuss here too--do we need to right out in front of the public with, we are with Amway?  If so, we need to revamp the thisbiznow site radically.  If the things that were done in the past by IBOs has damaged the Amway brand, we'll need to be so radically different from the Amway Caricature.  Thoughts?

Thanks for commenting. We are going to change thisbiznow.com as part of the business transformation. That's why we're asking for input and ideas from all of you, so I really appreciate your thoughts on radical changes and being more upfront and transparent. I will share with our OppZone and thisbiznow.com specialist. sjw

a) To spin off what Jeremy has said, I would love to see mainstream high profile business people that would endorse Q/AG as a company...people who perhaps have spoken at various Q/AG LOA Conferences - John Maxwell, Robert Kiyosaki, Chris Gardner, Paul Zane Pilzer, etc.

b) Create a list of articles/blurbs showcasing the top rankings/statistics of core product lines like Nutrilite, SA8, XS, Artistry, etc.

I just wanted to send a note (albeit a little late, for which I apologize) to all of those who commented on this post, and a thank you to Susan for asking these great questions.

My name is Cindy Droog, and I've recently been tasked with managing the thisbiznow site. All of your input is invaluable!

Michel - I am looking into the French issue and will get back with you.

GA/Chris - Great input and great ideas! I think we need to weigh the curiosity approach issue vs. the desire of some to have IBOs more in the spotlight on the site. Know that whatever we end up doing, all of the good things about TBN will remain. Also, love the idea of touting "green" and speaking consistently with our current awareness campaign(s).

Thanks to all of you. What a great dialogue centered around a topic that is very close to my heart!

About Susan Julien-Willson

I enjoy attending writing/marketing/advertising seminars and conferences for the inspiration and motivation they provide and I also love participating in a monthly writing group and a book club. On weekends, I am frequently found in the poetry/fiction/business/music sections of Schuler Books, my fave local bookstore, or reading magazines and sipping coffee in their café. You can also look for me on weekends at my family cottage in the summer or movie theaters or the mall in the winter. Evenings and weekends, you might spot me out walking when the weather is warm and sunny, or at the Alticor fitness center a few times a week. I love clothes and jewelry as an expression of my personal style. Because I tend to spend most of my time working, working out, or writing poetry, I don?t do the extent of volunteer work I?d like to, but I have a long list of favorite charities I support, including Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Easter Seals, American Cancer Society, Hospice of Michigan, Gilda's Club, and Habitat for Humanity.
