Some of the best people are in this business ...

and blogging here on Opportunity Zone. Thank you for all of you who read the blogs. So grateful to hear your feedback and share your ideas and suggestions with Marketing, Sales, The Learning Lab, IT, Customer Support, Communications, and everyone at Amway Global.

In the last few months, I've also had the pleasure of meeting (face to face!) some of Opportunity Zone's faithful readers and commenters. Bridgett and I have had some great discussions on retailing. We've talked about everything from bars and twist tubes to Choices Catalog and Ribbon Gift Collections. And guess what? I met rdknyver at National Spotlight and Ribbon has captured his interest. Ribbon is an excellent way to retail ... you can start there since everyone needs gifts, or  you use the Gift Collections as cross-sell opportunities for existing customers.  CJ, Bridgett, Visioneer, CaioBella, Jeffrey, Tina, Maureen, and others have shared via Sales Speak how to market this gift program along with our health and beauty products to consumers. Also how to sell Ribbon to small businesses.

Another wonderful retailing opportunity, especially if you are selling Artistry products, is the Personal Accents jewelry and accessories collection. Have you seen the new jewelry? It's beautiful. Don't forget! There are men's styles, too.

I hope to meet more of you face to face in the coming months. Your thoughts and ideas are important as we move forward in transforming the business. After all, you're some of the best people in the world and, with you, we can make this an even better business for IBOs, prospects, and customers.

So, let's keep on keeping on. Together, we WILL be the best!

Hi Billybob!

Try these posts and the comments that came in regarding them. Think you'll find some helpful tips. Ribbon Gives You Reason to Celebrate, What are you Selling?, Coming Soon!, Bad Gifts don't have to happen to good people, and All tied up in Ribbon. Let me know if you find what you're looking for and if not, we'll do a blog to get more comments to help  you out. Thanks! sjw

Susan,

I just got my new Celebrate gift album and I really like the new look! The selection of gifts are also very good, from the Ghiradelli gift basket to the Cabretta golf gloves, its an excellent reason to give and to get it!

Is this new design (the carrier instead of the album) in the works for the rest of the albums?

Thanks for the comments on Ribbon Celebrate Gift Collection. Glad you're pleased. I hope to give it to many people and also sell it this season. It has broad appeal and it's such a beautiful design.

I have the question in to the Ribbon Brand Managers and will post again with their reply. Stay tuned.

Thanks for commenting. sjw

Ribbon Brand Manager response to visioneer's question about future Gift Collections being like the Celebrate carrier rather than a card with an album:

In response to the question from visioneer, we will be monitoring the feedback and sales on the Celebrate carrier over the next few months along with some follow-up survey information to help determine if we will be taking more collections in this direction in the future.

Is there a mailing list with advance information on products that are to be discontinued so that we can stock up while they are still available?

For example, I have a number of customers who love (lived?) Pure Orange and now it's gone.

Also, it would be helpful if instead of a website message which basically says "Too bad, try something else" there was a message which suggested alternative products.

About Susan Julien-Willson

I enjoy attending writing/marketing/advertising seminars and conferences for the inspiration and motivation they provide and I also love participating in a monthly writing group and a book club. On weekends, I am frequently found in the poetry/fiction/business/music sections of Schuler Books, my fave local bookstore, or reading magazines and sipping coffee in their café. You can also look for me on weekends at my family cottage in the summer or movie theaters or the mall in the winter. Evenings and weekends, you might spot me out walking when the weather is warm and sunny, or at the Alticor fitness center a few times a week. I love clothes and jewelry as an expression of my personal style. Because I tend to spend most of my time working, working out, or writing poetry, I don?t do the extent of volunteer work I?d like to, but I have a long list of favorite charities I support, including Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Easter Seals, American Cancer Society, Hospice of Michigan, Gilda's Club, and Habitat for Humanity.
