After all, everybody does laundry and everybody cleans. But they want products that perform without harming people or the planet. Guess what? You now have an entire line of products to meet their needs with LEGACY OF CLEAN.

Safe (when used as directed, of course.) Okay, sure, you're thinking we would never sell anything that wasn't safe and that's true, but what I want you to focus on with your customers is that LEGACY OF CLEAN products take away dirt, grease, grime, and dust without negatively impacting the health of people or the planet. WOW!

Too bad customers can't order the preview kit.  :(  I received a "not authorized" message when clicking on your links...was all excited and everything.

Editor's Note: Stay tuned! There's a LEGACY OF CLEAN Customer Product Kit coming in September. It's full of laundry care products plus surface and dish cleaners.

OK, I can wait, but what about a peek at the new product packaging?  That's mostly "the news"...although it will be a bit different to use Amway products that are not in a square 1970s bottle...but I definately won't miss those awkward detergent boxes...hoping for something a bit more user friendly with the redesign (1 gallon bottles are hard to handle/pour, etc.)  Post a pic of the new designs if you are able...after being an Amway home care customer since 1992, this is 'big' news for the humble home care line that stands in the shawdow of Nutrilite and Artistry.  ;)

P.S.  BOO/Hiss on the cancellation of my beloved L.O.C. (See Spray) Aerosol...was the first Amway product I ever used--I'll have to purchase SprayWay's version now from Target.  And the discontinuace of Dish Drops Tablets, those were very convenient...hard to open, but convenient...can we say Gel Packs?  Thanks for the info on the updated product line.

Very much looking forward to these products.  Have seen the preview kit. probably will Order one myself.  But are our refills concentrated???? Seems odd to have refills the same size as the applicator packages.

Will we be getting info to help us market to LEED certified buildings for maintenance? This is a great line and with all the companies going green can also be used in a business setting.  But we will need materilas that speak the LEED language.

Deb,

I asked the Legacy of Clean Brand Manager to answer your question on refills:

The 3 Concentrated Refills for the Surface Cleaners come in 1L bottles. They will refill the spray bottles 4 times, greatly reducing the cost per use.

Please give me good informations about A.I.S.E. and EPA designed environment designation, regarding Legacy of clean products.

We have partnered with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Designed for the Environment program. Many of our formulas and ingredients have already been reviewed by the EPA and third-party accreditation contractors to meet their goals for safety.

We’re also a participant in the A.I.S.E. Each phase of the product’s life cycle (raw material selection, chemical safety, resource use, occupational health and safety, and advice to customers on how best to use the products) is assessed, reviewed, and externally verified. The goal? Being a trendsetter and role model for continual improvement in sustainability for the entire cleaning products industry.

I heard that Amway reduced its prices on a lot of their cleaning products, is that true?

Editor's Note: The Legacy of Clean Home Care retail prices have been reduced -- they are comparable to many leading grocery store brands in price -- and if I do say so myself, I think they outdo most in performance. I''m a fan!

We don't sell a baby detergent anymore? Does this mean the SA8 is safe for babies?

Editor's Note: I am checking into this ... will get back to you!

# Susan Julien-Willson said on January 18, 2010 4:36 PM:

For those of you who are searching for a baby detergent, if you are looking for a fragrance-free option, go with the Legacy of Clean Delicate detergent. If you are looking for a stain-fighting detergent, then you'll want to use SA8. It is true that we no longer have a baby detergent, but there are options that are safe to use for sensitive skin. Thanks!

About Susan Julien-Willson

I enjoy attending writing/marketing/advertising seminars and conferences for the inspiration and motivation they provide and I also love participating in a monthly writing group and a book club. On weekends, I am frequently found in the poetry/fiction/business/music sections of Schuler Books, my fave local bookstore, or reading magazines and sipping coffee in their café. You can also look for me on weekends at my family cottage in the summer or movie theaters or the mall in the winter. Evenings and weekends, you might spot me out walking when the weather is warm and sunny, or at the Alticor fitness center a few times a week. I love clothes and jewelry as an expression of my personal style. Because I tend to spend most of my time working, working out, or writing poetry, I don?t do the extent of volunteer work I?d like to, but I have a long list of favorite charities I support, including Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Easter Seals, American Cancer Society, Hospice of Michigan, Gilda's Club, and Habitat for Humanity.
